As the Agenda trade show has proven to be successful over the years, it’s still incomplete without a woman’s touch. This year, the forum for the most inspired in the street wear and action sports industry introduces a show segment, Agenda WMNS, to showcase a collection of women’s brands where “all pretty things unite”.
On Friday, June 21st, the 5th Element team attended the official launch party for Agenda WMNS. In the heart of Space 15 Twenty, people gathered together to celebrate all the ladies in the place with style and grace. To get the party underway, guests were welcomed with free food, free drinks, and free alcohol.
As the music started spinning and the crowd began to linger in, there were booths to keep everyone entertained. For anyone who had a rough week, Kleur was there to offer their one of a kind nail art. Tommy B Photography joined the party with customized backgrounds for some photo-booth fun. On the other side of the stage, the women behind Cultist and the curators for the night, had a few of their merchandise available for purchase. Teaming up with Nylon Magazine, Shown to Scale was offering a special giveaway in conjunction with the showcasing of the latest collection. Through the power of social media and hashtags, Nylon Magazine will select one lucky winner to receive some Shown to Scale merchandise.
Our 5th Element team caught up with Silke Labson from Shown to Scale about her thoughts of women brands at AGENDA. With the opportunity to be invited last year as the first female brand to attend AGENDA, she’s definitely excited for her 2nd debut. With last year’s show and being surrounded by men, Silke still made her presence known and has paved a way for other female brands to follow. This year, AGENDA WMNS will be showcasing over 20 brands who are definitely making their mark within the industry.
Amongst the crowd, we spotted some of the brands and the people behind what will be featured at AGENDA WMNS along with some other stylish guests that caught our eye.
To end the night, Colleen Green took the stage and sang several songs to keep the good vibes going.
Overall, it was a great night to come together to welcome Agenda WMNS and celebrate “all the honeys getting money.”
