Four years ago, when I was unemployed, I listened to this guy named David Dallas talk about making the “Big Time.” It was the only song I had ever heard by him as he spit verse after verse about the bleak future of our country and the question marks that hung over our heads. Based on the subject matter alone, I played it on repeat but never followed up on him since his debut in 2008.
Imagine my surprise when his name popped up this morning with a new single featuring Freddie Gibbs. The clear cut flow hasn’t changed for the New Zealand native and the duo deliver a message of their struggle/hustle mentality. David Dallas’ Falling Into Place album is dropping soon so keep an eye out and don’t wait four years like I did.
