An Educated Dress is The 5th Element’s visual slant on the seasonal offerings of various brands. Our intention is to give our stylistic interpretation and assessment on styles that we feel heads should take notice of. For this edition, we dive into Rook Brand’s graphic intensive Fall ’13 line and let it do what it do.
In a saturated industry, it’s at a premium to stay above the fray with distinct details, memorable visuals, and product that makes it a point to stand out from the rest, without sacrificing an ounce of whatever the brand originally embodies. The good folks over at Rook Brand have nailed all three tenets consistently, with their latest Fall 2013 collection being clear evidence of all that. Rook’s goal is to create bold, eye-catching, and provocative designs, which are clearly evident in their graphic tees, all-over prints, and detailed patterns. Memorably exceptional illustrations are what they aim for, with the mark never being missed on any of their pieces. The line is a celebration of art, really, with an emphasis being placed on the talent behind the visuals. And since we wanted to capture that essence of visual excellence, our model Donne goes above and beyond in displaying that as she rocks some of our favorite pieces from Rook’s Fall ’13 collection.

Reach loves the Lakers, breakfast, the sound of a Fender Rhodes, and rapping along word for word to Wu Tang's "Triumph." If you're looking for him, he's probably out getting chicken.
