Rappers Talk Gun Violence at the BET Hip-Hop Awards

Uncle Snoop and non-profit grassroots organization the League of Young Voters, brought their “No Guns Allowed” anti-gun violence campaign to the star-studded “green carpet” at the 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta. The League’s street team hit the carpet and asked hip-hop’s elite to discuss practical solutions to gun violence.  Noted figures that weighed in on the topic were BET executive, Stephen Hill, rappers Rich Homie Quan, Lil Scrappy, and Snoop Dogg himself.  Peep the recap video above and make sure to support such a crucial campaign.  Also, you can share your own stories of how you’ve been impacted by gun violence at NoGunsAllowedMovement.Tumblr.com.

Reach loves the Lakers, breakfast, the sound of a Fender Rhodes, and rapping along word for word to Wu Tang's "Triumph." If you're looking for him, he's probably out getting chicken.
