Peep This: Jam Master Jay’s Son, TJ Mizell, DJ On An NYC Subway

Proving the age old adage of the apple not falling far from the tree, TJ Mizell, son of the late Jam Master Jay, shows off his own turntable mastery on a New York City subway.ย  Watch as he cuts up somethin’ fierce and produces a set that flips Jay Z into a flourish of vinyl tricks.

Richard "Reach" Guinto

Reach loves the Lakers, breakfast, the sound of a Fender Rhodes, and rapping along word for word to Wu Tang's "Triumph." If you're looking for him, he's probably out getting chicken.

  1. Reblogged this on Bodega Bass Records and commented:
So this here is TJ Mizell son of the late Jam Master Jay of Run DMC and to show his skill set passed down from his father he and his friends took his dj setup to the subway for a different spin you can say on subway entertainment. This is an amazing showcase and an even better idea of how he presented this! Soon I’m sure we will see more of these popping up and I actually hope that we do because turntablism and dj culture as a whole is something that people should enjoy anywhere. Even people who didn’t seem to know what was going on in the video enjoyed it and thats what its all about.
