A handful of rap icons are made immortal not only through their music, but also through the lens of photographer Mike Miller. During west coast rap’s formative years, Miller was the go-to guy for album covers and publicity stills that were dubbed iconic not only for his subjects but also for the depth and intimacy he captured in those images. Starting this week, Miller and curator Alex Amador host “Love West Coast,” an exhibit showcasing a handful of said images and other works from Miller, hosted at DAX Gallery in Costa Mesa.
