Today is release day for the legendary group’s 25th anniversary edition of “People’s Instinctive Travels and Paths of Rhythm.” Accompanying Tribe’s milestone is a world tour of sorts through the media waves. Included stops were Sirius XM, Hot97, and a very special visit to ESPN where the Sportscenter set was decked out in ATCQ cover art as documented by Jarobi’s Instagram.

Possibly the one media tour stop Tribe fans are the most hype about would have to be their schedluled reunion on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon tonight. All four members, Q-Tip, Phife, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, and Jarobi will come together to perform for the first time since their appearance on Kanye’s Yeezus Tour in 2013. Set your DVRs, y’all, it’s bound to be one for the books.

The 25th Anniversary of “People’s” is now available for purchase through iTunes and other digital outlets, but the good people at Get On Down has got something special for all of us analog folks. As a vinyl companion piece to A Tribe Called Quest’s anniversary, a limited-edition “45s Box” reissue of the album will be rolling out and available in December. After a first-look at the super sweet box set online yesterday, it is likely the hand-numbered, 1,000 set run will be sold out very shortly after release. Time to re-write those Christmas wish lists, boys and girls.People's Box Set

Twenty-five years in the making, and very deserving of all of the fanfare, ATCQ’s “People’s” album is arguably one of the most influential hip-hop records to date.
