Drizzy had a line from “Thank Me Now,” that aligned rappers and athletes because “we want to be them, and they want to be us.” Other than rappers getting to sit courtside (one becoming a brand ambassador and another being a former part-owner) and a few flopped mixtapes from a handful of players (out of respect for your farewell tour Kobe Bryant, you are excused from this list for this moment), not one individual has come close to actually making the exchange. However, Copenhagen designer Patso Dimitrov is probably the closest person to blurring that line into his own reality by taking five of modern rap’s iconic records and transforming their covers into NBA jerseys. Through Dimitrov’s eye, the cover designs translate well onto a garment, making it totally wearable and sending the jerseys straight to the top of our Christmas wish list. Check out the other designs below, and see more of Dimitrov’s work here.
