Concepts x New Balance Drops the East Coast “City Rivalry” Pack

Concepts brand has been on the forefront of our favorite sneaker collabos to date, especially in teaming up with the smaller giants in footwear like Asics, Clarks, Diadora and New Balance.

To celebrate 20 years of quality garb, the brand teams up with New Balance, a neighbor in their hometown of Boston, to drop the “City Rivalry” pack. Pulling from their rich baseball heritage, Concepts pits Boston against New York through choice materials like pebbled leather reflective tongues, leather linings, buttery suede uppers and custom footbeds.

The Boston colorway is inspired by the red rusty clay on baseball diamonds. The minty-teal on the New York edition is an ode to a medal NY public safety officials would receive for acts of service in the early 1900s. Concepts does this rivalry justice from the color signatures to the material, let’s hope they bring this idea to the West sometime soon — LA against San Francisco? We already know who wins that match-up.

For East-coasters, the collabo drops APril 9 at the Concepts NYC and on April 11 at ’47 Brand’s Boston location. As for everyone else, try your luck online on April 16. Check out the full lookbook below.
