Childish Gambino joined Microsoft and Wolf + Rothstein at The Microsoft Lounge in Los Angeles to present PHAROS. 

The rapper also spoke about the creative inspiration behind his upcoming Awaken, My Love! album. As part of this release, Gambino wanted to create a virtual world that would blend the physical and digital. So together with Microsoft, they designed a virtual reality experience called PHAROS.

The evening included a panel discussion that included Gambino, the creative team at Wolf + Rothstein and Microsoft. The panel spoke on their collaboration and provided further insight on the unique VR experience, which will be available on January 10, 2017 alongside the vinyl release of the new album.

This collaboration is the latest in an artist series featured on Music x Technology, an initiative that celebrates forward-thinking artists who are using Microsoft technology to transform the way we create and experience music. With monthly artist collaborations, the program seeks to empower artists with unique opportunities to create one-of-a-kind experiences for their fans.
