The Chicago rapper performed tracks off the Coloring Book mixtape.
ICYMI, last night Chance the Rapper was the musical guest for the live comedy show Saturday Night Live. With a live band in New York, the Chicago rapper performed “Same Drugs” with Francis and the Lights. Earlier in the night he performed “Finish Line/Drown” with fellow Chicago MC Noname, which you can watch below. The two tracks were off his critically acclaimed mixtape Coloring Book and the rapper wore with his signature “3” cap for both performances.
And of course, it wouldn’t be SNL without some comedy. It’s President Obama’s last Christmas in the White House and the music community just had to pay tribute somehow. Check out this hip-hop nostalgia where Chance the Rapper and comedian Kenan Thompson did a parody of Run DMC’s “Christmas in Hollis.” If Hollywood ever makes a biographical film about Run DMC we hope they cast Chance to play as Darryl McDaniels. Watch the musical parody titled “Jingle Barack” below!
