As 2016 was full of great music in general, there were also great remixes to come along as well.

Some are remixes of other producers taking tracks and putting their own spin, while other artists added a different verse on the track. I like a little bit of everything so let’s see if we narrowed down the top remixed songs of 2016

Jeremih – Pass Dat (Remix) ft. Chance The Rapper, Young Thug & The Weeknd

Just recently, Jeremih and Chance the Rapper randomly put out a Christmas mixtape and definitely had many music goers happy during the holidays. Also in this remix was The Weeknd, who had a great year with his Starboy album.

Chance The Rapper – Famous

Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo had many featured artists and producers. On an interview with Zane Lowe, Chance the Rapper showed what the original track sounded like when he helped Kanye produce “Famous” along with his own verse.

Eugene Cam – Be Your Girl

Everyday I check my SoundCloud because there are always good music for everyone to listen to. I prefer non-mainstream music because I get to hear a variety of music along with good mixes that different DJ’s put together. Eugene Cam did a unique version of “Be Your Girl,” a classic R&B staple by Teedra Moses.

Ta-ku & Wafia – Love Somebody (Mr Carmack Remix)

The Hawaiian DJ, Mr Carmack, went on tour this year called “Immersion”. I was able to catch him perform live at The Observatory during this tour and I really enjoyed the production he created with his music set. His take on “Love Somebody” by Ta-ku and Wafia was something a little slower, mellow yet enjoyable.

Rich Chigga – Dat $tick Remix feat Ghostface Killah and Pouya

Ever since “Dat $tick” came out, young rapper Brian Imanuel aka Rich Chigga has been receiving some good feedback from music veterans. Earlier this year a video on YouTube showed different rappers on their reaction to Rich Chigga’s video for “Dat $tick.” Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah commented by saying he would get on the track. And a few weeks later we got this gem:
