In 2016 we had the privilege of speaking to the then rising social media star, Cardi B about the recent success of her viral Instagram videos during an L.A. press stop. We saw a different side to Cardi B in this interview and learned about her aspirations as a young girl from The Bronx and what she thought was next for her in her career. Unfortunately, when we began to edit, we realized there was a huge audio issue which caused us to scrap the project altogether.

In 2017 we decided to try and salvage the footage, and to our surprise, we fixed it! Take a look at our exclusive “Lost Files” interview #BEFORETHEBAG with Cardi B, right before the whirlwind success of her smash hit “Bodak Yellow.” It just goes to show that you never know where your life will be headed. Hard work, perseverance and dedication is a proven formula for success, and this video is a prime example of it all.
