A total of 18 dope tracks to keep on repeat.
When you hear people complaining about the lack of progression in today’s hip-hop scene, they clearly haven’t been listening to Smino. His track “Anita” was one of the best songs we heard in 2017. The St. Louis rapper has worked with some of today’s most promising music producers and each project he puts out has only elevated his craft and notoriety. NØIR follows his 2017 breakout debut album blkswn and is released under Zero Fatigue/Interscope Records.
As you listen through each track, you’ll notice that Smino is at his most versatile. He’ll often pull directly from his personal life and current outlook. The sounds are heavily influenced by his diverse musical background, especially his distinct St. Louis spin on hip-hop. Features include Bari, Ravyn Lenae, Valee, Dreezy, and Jay2. We tried to narrow down our favorite tracks but there were just too many. “MF Groove” is lightyears beyond existence with its soulful beats and live instruments in the background. “HOOPTI” is too damn smooth and is slightly reminiscent of the late Mac Miller’s music style. And the single “L.M.F.” makes us want to throw a backyard party, even in the middle of winter.

To coincide with the new album, Smino is releasing new merch, including a new version of his classic satin hoodie. He also recently announced his third-annual homecoming Kribmas show in St. Louis will take place at The Pageant on December 14th.
