Blending high fashion aesthetics with streetwear hype, PUMA brings in Parisian cool with their newest Karl Lagerfeld collaboration. While the late fashion icon and designer created long-lasting trends as Chanel’s creative director, his personal brand also garnered attention and praise worldwide.
“Covered in a playful polka dot pattern, the sporty-chic designs are crafted from soft leather to combine comfort and style. With a contemporary yet youthful aesthetic, they reflect KARL LAGERFELD’s signature DNA with distinct shades of black and white. The silhouette, called the Roma, was first introduced by PUMA in 1968 as a track shoe and has been reissued today.”
This capsule comes on the heels of Karl’s debut collection with PUMA in the Fall of 2018, with more capsules from the two brands expected to arrive in the months ahead. The ROMA AMOR, featured above, is a women’s-specific style with a thick platform and satin finish upper. While the ROMA, seen below, is a unisex style and features a leather upper. Both have a die-cut stacked midsole decked with oversized KARL LAGERFELD branding.
The new collection will be available for pre-launch on KARL.com and PUMA.com on May 15th, and will launch worldwide in select Karl Lagerfeld and PUMA retailers on May 16th.
