A new breed of fashion designers has been cultivated in what was once the mega structure that housed the infamous brand American Apparel. Now named the ROW DTLA, this new destination hub houses unique food vendors, retail shops, and a variety of creative outlet spaces. Being immersed in this environment and knowing its fashion history is the perfect setting to inspire young creative minds. Back in March of this year we gave you a hint of a new streetwear competition show coming to the streaming platform HBO Max. “Speedy Morman will host the eight-episode season, which will feature co-signers judging the competition, including Grammy® nominated recording artist and designer Offset, creative director and founder of Bephies Beauty Supply Bephie Birkett, and Emmy® nominated Costume Designer and Renowned Stylist Marni Senofonte.” The official trailer for “The Hype” has finally dropped online and features a look at the contestants, guest judges, and the orchestrated chaos that is sure to leave us viewers wanting more.
