Stream Kanye West’s New Album ‘DONDA’

Is this Ye’s ‘Sunday Service’ gift to the world?

After many weeks of delay and a few not-so-intimate listening events, the sample GOAT himself Mr. West a.k.a. simply “YE” (after the courts of L.A. approve his paperwork) finally drops his long-awaited tenth studio album DONDA. Named after his late mother Donda West who sadly past away in 2007. You can hear a previous voice recording of Mrs. West on track #15 of the new album.

Yeezy fans have already heard many of the album tracks since the first listening event, and many were quick to point out the guest features which ranges from Jay Z to Jay Electronica. A bevy of multi-talented singers and rappers can be heard from beginning to end, which could explain the delay of the album’s release. The music industry is more complicated than it should be. From contracts to timely submission of recordings, DONDA could not have been an easy feat for any artist, not even for an established artist like Ye. And given his extreme attention to details, each track may have gone through many revisions before the final cut. Remember that The Life of Pablo had some changes even after it was released. But don’t let DONDA‘s fast-paced beats and sharp lyrics deter you from the fact that this is definitely Ye’s version of a gospel album. Much like how Jesus Is King slowly grew on us, this new album will need a few more rotations before we can have a final verdict.

Have you played it yet? Let us know which track you got on repeat.

Peace and love. Have yourselves a blessed Sunday.
