Growing up, Raphael was raised on a diet of soul, rare groove and funk from his parents’ collection. He then started listening to London’s pirate radio stations, which opened his ears to the finest in deep and soulful house music. Later on, he discovered Hip-Hop and the art of sampling, which led him to explore jazz and classical music.
