Celebrity Fit Check: Halloween 2021

Style roundup from across the social platforms.

Red light, green light, who made us freeze mid scroll and admire their Halloween costumes? This year it was more than just Squid Game references and memes from TikTok, celebrities had their assistants working OT to put together some of the most creative fits we’ve seen in a while. Below are some of our staff’s favorites. Let us know if your pick didn’t make the cut in the comments below.

Doja Cat as Princess Kida from Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

Icy Bae Saweetie as Catwoman. Bonus points for getting the icon herself Halle Berry in her video.

Lizzo had multiple costumes this year, but her Baby Yoda fit just took Halloween to a galaxy far far away.

Lil Nas X dressed as the ultimate villain Lord Voldemort from the Harry Potter series.

Ariana Grande understood the assignment.

Pack it up y’all, we have a Halloween 2021 winner! Janelle Monae gave us a whole movie trailer with her Grinch costume! Now we need a screenplay and a POC director to make one of the best Grinch movie remakes starring Monae.

Anderson .Paak dressed up as his Silk Sonic partner Bruno Mars and announced a Silk Sonic album dropping soon on November 12th.

And the best family costume goes to Chrissy Teigen and John Legend as The Addams Family!

Rapper Gunna had a viral photo that inspired Rihanna to recreate the whole fit. An ultimate stamp of approval from Rihanna, tbh.

Chlöe Bailey as Lola from the 2004 animated film Shark Tale.

The Queen of Hottieween herself Megan Thee Stallion just elevated Pinhead (from the Hellraiser series) to a whole new level.

And last but certainly not least, rapper Cardi B continues to impress us every year with her iconic Halloween fits. This year she gave us sexy gothic vibes with her take on Morticia Addams from The Addams Family.

Which fit was your favorite? Let us know in the comments below.
