Concepts NYC's Build Out For Their Collab With Asics Is Truly Brilliant

In the immortal words of the less than immortal Yung Joc – “Meet me in the trap. It’s goin’ down.” And I’m pretty sure those words were what the good folks at Concepts NYC had echoing in their collective ears as they decided on the best way to promote their recent collabo with Asics. What resulted was a pair of Asics Gel Lyte V’s, dubbed the “8-Ball,” to be released today at Concepts’ brilliant build-out for the shoe in the form of a hood iconic trap house.  Click through for all the wild details on the buil-out and shoes themselves.

For a more accurate take on it, this was exactly what Concepts NYC had to say about their Asics collabo and trap house:

Concepts NYC will have a special buildout for our New York City customers. Each customer must enter one at a time through our guard men, knock on the wall, and interact with the person behind the wall to purchase the shoes. The shoes will then appear in a hidden drawer.

Shoes will be packaged in custom Concepts box, with each individual package wrapped in duct tape, and including hand written details. This creates a dynamic purchasing experience that will be a memorable one for our NYC audience.
