If you’ve Never Been In Love with 1988, you will now.
As one half of the hip-hop duo Black Star, Brooklyn emcee Talib Kweli definitely knows his music history. Having a successful career with collaborators and as a solo artist, he is internationally regarded as a legend in the hip-hop circles. In a recent talk with Billboard, Kweli speaks on the importance of the year 1988. “The best year in hip-hop can be debated, but for my money and experience, no year was better for hip-hop than 1988. The albums that came out in 1988 have stood the test of time to become classics. They are the blueprints for what great hip-hop would be for years to follow.” (Source: Billboard.com)
