Rap Albums Get Remixed in Color and Scheme from “Glitch Album Art”

Album art oft takes a backseat when it comes to an entire piece of music, but the folks at Glitch Album Art have taken a stab at remixing a handful of classic hip-hop albums like Kanye West’s “College Drop Out,” and Nas’ “Illmatic,” to even more modern classics like, Kendrick Lamar’s “good kid, m.A.A.d. city,” and Freddie Gibbs’ Madlib-produced “Pinata,”  into glitch art. The approach takes streaks of color to warp the imagery and procure an elemental twist on the original visuals, almost akin to what glitch music actually conceptualizes with sound. Hit the jump to see more of the warped visuals and check out the Glitch Album Art Tumblr page for more on the skewed schemes.
